Patience

I hate waiting. We are still in the buying process for our land, and the waiting is killing me. I just want it to be done and good to go. I have been packing up my things, selling off items that I no longer need, and purging the hell out of my stuff. It feels really good to let go of things that no longer bring me joy. And making money on the side it also wonderful.

We’ve been making plans. Mapping out the logistics of this move has been complicated. We have five cats, two vehicles (three if my child decides to come with us), and enough stuff to fill a truck. Pods and Pod-like services do not deliver to my potential new address, so a U-Haul truck it is, haha. I’m not looking forward to driving it, but if my parents could do it, I should be able to as well.

As soon as we’ve closed, we’ll be making plans for a well, septic, and cabin build for us to live in while we build the big house. It’s not a big house, but it also is a big house, lol. It is just shy of a little bigger than my current residence, and we’re planning on making it just a little bigger than the plans to encompass a utility room and a cat room (for all those litter boxes and food dispensers). We’re also going to be adding a mother-in-law apartment for my kid, or eventually my mom or stepdad should they reach the age that they need assistance and can no longer live alone. I’d love for my mother to come live with me when she gets to those older ages.

I’ve also plans for an art studio that I would like to build a path to in the woods. A round wooden yurt-like building with a wood stove, a kiln, and all my art supplies. A wall of windows looks out into the forest <3.

It’s a dream, I know. I have to be financially able to build it, but it’s something I want desperately. A retreat of my very own, to create and be with nature. I might even throw in a writing desk to hopefully finish writing my book.

Dreams.

I’m thinking of starting a Patreon to share my art and things that I make. It may be fun. I’d have to consider what rewards I could offer, but I’d love to start a community of people that are like minded.

It’s starting to rain.
